Homegrown Stories Shorts Program (In-Person)

Homegrown Stories is a shorts program celebrating the achievements of disabled Canadian filmmakers and documentary subjects. The program features the short films:

• Interabled - Flakin’ Around with Matt Flake (Dir. Spencer MacKay, Canada)
• Chicken (Dir. Lucy McNulty and Emma Pollard, Canada)
• Sensei (Dir. Jill Roberts, Canada)
• Superhero Inc. (Dir. Liz Whitmere and Christine Bélanger, Canada)
• Grounded (Dir. Anne Leclair, Canada).

We’re delighted to celebrate these films with an extraordinary post-screening recorded conversation! Moderator Emily Schooley will be joined by panelists Lucy McNulty, Spencer MacKay, Aaron Waddingham, and Michael McNeely (director of Advocacy Club, screening May 15) to discuss their experiences making their films.

WHERE: The film and pre-recorded panel will screen at Innis Town Hall (2 Sussex Ave) in Toronto on May 14 at 11 AM EDT.

ACCESSIBILITY: The recorded panel will feature ASL interpretation and captions. The films will be available with captions and audio description. Both the films and panel will be available to watch online for 72 hours.
