Opening Night - Love is Access/”Access Is Love” & Welcome to the Care Club
This event is lovingly paired with Love is Access/”Access Is Love”: A Film Shorts Program.
We invite you to join us for our opening night event, Welcome to the Care Club! Hosted by Dev Ramsawakh, Kate Welsh, and Midnight from CRIP Collective, this relaxed, virtual event will welcome festival attendees and filmmakers, sharing frameworks of care and giving us all the space to connect, create and be in community together. Together, we will ask: What is crip care? How can we hold space for ourselves and each other?
It will take place on Zoom, and feature relaxed conversation and be followed by an interactive art activity. A link will be sent out to registrants.
A friendly reminder that this event has a “Come As You Are” policy - you are invited to engage with this program in whatever way works best for you. You are welcome to keep your cameras on or off, arrive late or leave early, eat, drink and manage pain or other symptoms with substances or any other strategies in the space. We ask that if you’re engaging with substances/medications, that you keep your camera off. We look forward to gathering and creating with you all!
