Courting Creatives: Matchmaking Event

Co-Presented by Canada Media Fund and Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada

Are you a writer, director, or other screen-based Canadian creative with a disability? This breakout-room style virtual event will help you find creative collaborators and make meaningful professional connections with your peers and established industry professionals.

This event is free to attend, and will take place virtually on Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent out to registrants one day before the event.

Accessibility Features: ASL Interpretation and Live Captioning will be available for this event.

How It Works:

This event will run 4 separate Zoom rooms simultaneously, where participants will get the chance to meet and mingle! Each Zoom room will consist of five creatives and an experienced facilitator, who will help guide the relaxed networking session.

Registration for this event will be capped to 25 participants to ensure a quality experience for all creatives. We recommend that you reserve your spot as soon as possible, as registration closes September 9 at midnight.

Upon registering, you will receive a short survey from the ReelAbilities team to help us get to know you and do the exciting work of matching you with fellow creatives with relevant interests.

Then, on September 15th, you will receive further instructions, a Zoom link, and information about your fellow creatives and group facilitator.

The series is made possible with the generous support of our presenting partners: the Miles Nadal JCC, P. & L. Odette Foundation, Canada Media Fund, Telefilm, Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada, and AMI.
